Two states. One good place to be.

For Gorge businesses

Sponsor the calendar. Be on every page.

Gorge Events is one calendar for the Columbia River Gorge, read by locals planning their week and Portland visitors planning a trip. One local sponsor at a time keeps it free, fast, and free of ad networks. That could be you.

What you get

A sponsor card on every page: your name, one sentence, your town, and a link. It sits beside the listings on town, venue, and category pages and above the explore links on the home calendar and event pages. On pages about your town, your card comes first.

It is the only paid placement on the site. There are no pop-ups, no banners, and no tracking scripts, so the card reads like a credit from a neighbor rather than an ad. Your link carries campaign tags, so visits from Gorge Events show up in your own analytics.

The terms

$50 a month. Pick the months you want. Payment up front, and the card goes live within a day. The money goes to hosting and the database behind the calendar; the site is not trying to turn a profit.

One slot, shared fairly. If more than one business sponsors at the same time, the card rotates daily, and town pages prefer a sponsor from that town.

Listings stay independent. Sponsoring does not add, feature, or reorder events. Every organizer gets the same treatment.

How to start

Email sponsors@gorgeevents.com with your business name, website, town, and the months you want. You will get the card text to approve and an invoice. That is the whole process.

Questions businesses ask

What does a sponsor get?

A small card with your business name, one sentence about it, your town, and a link to your site. It appears on every page of Gorge Events: the home calendar, every town, venue, and category page, and every event page. On pages about your town, your card takes priority.

How much does it cost?

$50 a month, billed up front for the window you choose. The money covers hosting and the database behind the calendar. If more than one business sponsors at once, the slot rotates daily so each gets equal turns.

Who can sponsor?

Businesses and organizations in the Columbia River Gorge: restaurants, breweries, wineries, shops, outfitters, lodging, nonprofits. The card is for a real place people can visit. No national brands and no ad networks.

Does sponsoring change the listings?

No. Events are listed on the same terms whether or not the organizer sponsors the site. The sponsor card is the only paid placement, and it is always labeled.

How is this different from running ads?

There is no tracking script, no banner exchange, and nothing loads from another company. Your card is part of the page, so it does not slow the site down or follow readers around. Your link carries campaign tags so you can see the visits in your own analytics.
